NCLS Annual Meeting Recap

On September 29, over a hundred library staff and trustees came out to the NCLS Annual Meeting at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel in Clayton. The NCLS Annual Meeting is one of the highlights of our year – a time when we come together to learn and share with each other and recognize the good work that our libraries do all year long.

NCLS Consultants Matt Corey (left) and Katie St. Laurent (far right) present the NCLS Alchemy Award to Michelle McLagan of the Hepburn Library of Lisbon and Kristy Perry of the Theresa Free Library.

Our keynote address on everyday library advocacy was presented by New York Library Association Executive Director AnnaLee Dragon. You can watch the recording here. After lunch, member library and system staff presented Board Meeting Theater – an interactive learning experience that demonstrates best practices – and potential pitfalls – of a typical library board meeting.

The 2022 Annual Meeting was the first to be held in person since 2019.
