Youth Service Roundup – Takeover Episode!

Hey, all! It’s your old pal Angela, barging in to bring you these important youth services updates while Katie is on vacation. Let’s go!

The 2024 YSS Spring Conference will be held on April 19 in Clayton – yes! on our very own turf! – and we’re looking for presenters. Deadline to submit is December 31, and you can throw yer hat in the ring right here.

Speaking of YSS, the committee for the Pied Piper Award is looking for applications. From the NYLA website: “The Pied Piper Award recognizes excellence in the creation of an individual program that promotes service to the young people of New York State Libraries and is replicable at other libraries. Submissions are judged on originality, program implementation, program content, and marketing of said program.” More details and application form heredeadline December 1.

If you missed 30 Storytime books and How to Use Them on October 12, don’t fret! The video has been posted and you can watch it right here.
